Default Advice for preparing raised beds.

Hi there

It coming close to that time of year when we think bout preparing the soil etc for raised beds. Has anyone any suggestions as to whats best as people say mix manure in.

I am only a novice myself, this will be my second season but i don,t manure area where i am growing carrots, the more experienced members will, i think (hope) confirm this.

Manuring for carrots and parsnips can cause root distortion,best grow other crops first.Composted waste,top soil, leaf mould and some sharp sand are good to add.
