Default peas and birds

I am having problems with my peas, I have netting up with approx four inch nets, but my peas still seem to be getting plucked out as soon as they cone through. Any other tips for scaring off the birds?

Hello

I would suggest a scare crow, but put loose clothing on it (moves in the breeze) and move it around the garden every other day.

Using canes I have strung CD's across plants. These move in the breeze and reflect light which is effective.

I would also get an old 25kg compost sack and split it then cut it into strips, but leave the ends connected and hang it up the wind will make it move.

Use cheap wind mills the type kids get a fairs and fix them up.

Get a plastic dog or cat and leave it pout but move it every day.

Get smaller netting and erect a frame to hold it off the plants.

Shoot the birds!

Stop growing peas!

I hope the above has helped!

Thanks I will be implementing some of these tips the next few days, after replanting the peas, having misread your post and mistakenly shot the peas instead of the birds. No seriously very good tips and thanks for taking the time to respond, as I love fresh peas and this is my first year of trying them.
All I need now is rain, we have not had one single days rain in April, and my water butt has now run out of water.
