Public Liability Insurane on allotments

Looks like we need to take out PLI at our council owned allotments as we have now formed a Society.
Can anyone advise on the most appropriate sceme?
It has been suggested that RHS has the best but then we have to fork out an additional £30 for membership otherwise we cannot have PLI through them.

Have you checked if you are not already covered by the Council insurance? The National association of Allotments also has a PLI scheme.
