Default Antz - not so cute

Guys and Gals.

I noticed a colony of ants under one of the paving slabs. The lettuce near the slabs has been getting the tips of the leaves bitten off - very small sections. The lettuce is being attacked along the line starting with the nearest to the slabs. So I'm blaming the ants. A reasonble charge against them? What is the best way to get rid of them?

George

Not sure if they'd make good pets though . . .

Failing that, try boiling water from the kettle if you don't want to use ant powder.

Leave 'em be, they do more good than harm in my opinion.

You can get a nematode that should annoy them and they'll move on somewhere else
