Lavender In The Shade

Will lavender grow well in the semi shade? The flower bed (which is empty) has sun first thing in the morning then it is in semi shade. Any ideas of what might grow there please?

There are plenty of things that will grow in semi shade, it just depends on what you are wanting from the plant, flowers, foliage, scent etc.

Thanks for the link. There are not many plants that like the shade and lavender does not come up on the search so it mustn't like shady conditions.

I have read that lavender likes the sun as it is a mediterranean plant.

Lavander hates the shade. It needs full sun and great drainage.
