Default honeysuckle

hi
can anybody recommend a strong scented hardy honeysuckle?
(would prefer a yellow colour)
and also
can it be grown up a 6ft buddleia or would it take over?
in which case ill hide a 1000 gallon oil tank with it.
thanks

THE best scented Honeysuckle to my mind is L. periclymenum. The flowers are creamy white and purplish, it is a vigorous plant so should go over the oiltank. If the flower colour is more important then go for L. tellmanianna.

I've also gone for l.periclymenum (link to exact source below), to hide a tall fence, on the basis that if it survives in wild English woodlands, it's not likely to have a problem in my shady garden! Only put it in this spring, and it's looking pretty happy so far.
