Unwelcome Guests

I have unwelcome guests on a Lobelia I bought (same problem with a Dahlia from the same supplier). It was doing really well, but suddenly has started wilting and the lower leaves are yellowing. I can see it seems to have some kind of invader in the lower part of the stem. I have seperated it from the rest of my plants.

Can I save it?
