Sweetpeas

Hi all,
I have my sweetpeas in pots in my greenhouse. They are about an inch high at the moment no leaves out yet. Its just stem like. When do i plant these out ? I live on the west coast of scotland if it matters. And do i need to harden them off ?

Leave them in the greenhouse for now, Andy. When they are about 4" tall then you can harden them off ready to go out. Next time, sow them in September/October, they will make much better plants.

I don`t think you are thick at all. If you don`t know something you need to ask. It`s how we ALL learn. So don`t forget it, ask any question you want an answer to.

I planted them in 5 cm pots and some in cells. I sowed 4 seeds per pot some have all 4 some just 3. in the cells its the 6 packs i used and sowed 2 seeds per cell did i go over the top with the seeds ?

I am indeed a professional, but only for 18 years. The previous 20 years I was an amateur.

Jesus you certainly know what your talking about. Are you an all round gardener or is it just veg you do ?

All round, though I don`t do hard landscaping anymore, getting too old for that.
