Default Anyone know what these plants are?

Hi!

I wonder if anyone could tell me what the two large plants with large fleshy, hairy leaves on my photos are? Also to the right of them is a tall foxglove-type plant - anyone know what that is too? I thought that it might be a different variation on the foxglove but the leaves are completely different. I have a sneaky feeling that they may all be the result of one of my seed foraging escapades when I'm out walking the dog. Anything that takes my fancy is collected when it goes to seed and planted. Some take and some don't ... these obviously have. This is the second year for the large fleshy leaved plants - last year they didn't do much but this year they're already 4' tall.

Many thanks for your help.

The first one may possibly be Mullein if the leaves are covered in a soft downy fir but it's only the middle pic that makes me think that.

The last 2 look like foxglove flowers but the stems look long and bendy so I'm sure thats not right?

You could try to identify them on this site: Flora Search

Absolutely spot on Woodpile! As soon as I received your message I googled Mullein and there it was - I remembered getting the seeds a couple of years ago from a field nearby but had forgotten all about them. Part of the Verbascum family, eh? I seem to remember that it stood about 8 foot tall in the field so I'm looking forward to seeing how it turns out in my garden! Many thanks for your help.

No luck with the Flora Search Jeny but thanks for taking the time to reply. It's a lovely plant ... whatever it is ... and I'll be taking seeds to propagate it. I feel sure that it's related somehow to the foxglove as the seed pods on the stalk are the same as those that are left on the foxglove stalk after flowering.

The second plant is indeed a foxglove, it's Digitalis viridiflora
