Default Rose bush branch in water, will it grow roots?

Does anyone know if I put a branch of a rose bush in water will it grow roots.I broke of a nice branch of my bush and I put it in water hoping it will root, I don't know.

Hi, Can't say i've tried a rose branch but I did this with lizzianthuss and it worked well.

yeah you can take hardwood cuttings from roses, the problem is nearly all of them have been budded so the rooted cutting won't be as vigurous.

yes you bush the roses in water but water are not soo high it will be maximum to 20% of roses or less than it.for roses you should provided them sun light
