Default Pinwheel zinnia

Evey winter I grow annuals indoors just to defy Mother Nature.

This is a Pinwheel Zinnia grown hydroponically using fluorescent lighting. Some other varieties presently growing are: dianthus Ipswitch Pinks, and Calendula Sunshade.

Actually it is very popular. It comes in several varieties and sizes. I only grow small plants, 12" and under, indoors. In my outdoor annual garden, in season, I have several plants that are over 3 feet tall. The blooms last a long long time and they bloom all summer.
