Default Help

OH has come home with some unidentified fruit!

He bought it from the Moroccan shop, but that does not necessarily mean its from there!

Its small, about or slightly bigger than a gooseberry. Light green, no stripes or other colouring. Hard. SOUR, i tried one before he started boiling them and had to spit it out! Round.

Thats about it, have spent the last hour searching and have come up with nothing!

HELP!

Sandra

Sandra have you discovered what type of fruit it is yet? Is it definitely a fruit - has it got seeds inside it?

Hi all, sorry i forgot to reply!!!!

Yes it had a pip. I tried one again after cooking with a little sugar, didnt improve the flavour much i can tell you! Anyway this time managed to eat enough to discover a pip!

Had a suggestion that its an unripe plum! Usually eaten in Turkey, why you wouldnt wait untill its ripe and palatable is beyond me!!!!

Thanks again for the replies,

Sandra
