Early and maincrop rasps are pruned after fruiting (which is in late June to August, depending on variety and location.) For information, my Malling Jewel are bearing red fruit heavily today (picking tomorrow if weather holds), but Glen Prozen is still green.
Autumn fruiting rasps are also trimmed after fruiting to reduce wind rock, but the old canes are not trimmed to ground level until February. I have only tried the autumn ones once as they tend to be overtaken by the onset of winter here before fruiting is complete.
