Default Raspberries to cut or not to cut?

Hello, we just moved into a house with so many amazing fruits that I think I will be sending quite a few questions - thank goodness for the internet!

First of all, we have raspberries that have had no fruit since we moved in - can you please advise if you think that these need to be cut down? They are approx 1-1.5 metres high. Also there are browning leaves is that normal? See attached photo.

In addition we have some new shoots - do you think these will fruit next year?

any help would be most appreciated - many thanks!!
Maki

Default

Cut down to ground level all the old canes but leave the fresh ones, thar are next years fruiting stems. The leaves on the old canes are suffering from scorch and age damage. Not a problem.

Thumbs up

Thank you for your responses to this and my other questions. I shall start work tomorrow to remedy these issues.
