Default Feeding Strawberrries

Hiya

I bought 4 strawberry plants last year from dobbies and managed to get another 4 from their runners. I have replanted the 8 plants in a long trough at the weekend which is now outside in my garden.

I am just wondering whether you need to feed strawberries and if so, what with?...................(you can see that I am a novice here )

Cheers

Once the flowers form, I would give a weak dose of tomato feed.

I grow several different strain of strawberries and I find that they grow bogger and faster and make more strawberries if they are fertilzed on a regulasr basis. There are many great organic fertilizers and additives that you can add to soil and or plant water. Liquid seaweed fertilzer and chitosans from crab shells are two great ones.

Thompson & Morgan actually do a specialist strawberry fertilizer. I spotted it this morning while browsing the site.
