Default Growing Fruit - Its in the soil

When growing any fruit - for that matter anything vegetable - its important to ensure you have a good foundation in the soil. If your soil is lacking try adding some compost, manure or one of those 5 in 1 soil conditioners - with blood and bone, seaweed, mushroom compost, minerals and more. You tree will thank you for it.

Also if possible buy your tree as a seedling. After five years the seedling stock will have overtaken any larger trees as the root system will form more naturally.
