Default Lemon Tree and Lemons!

Does anyone have any advice on looking after a lemon tree?
Its producing millions of lemons so if anyone has any lemon recipes or ways to use them up that would be great.

Thanks

you need to bring it in in the winter or cover with a straw and fleece bag . the soil is ericasious and it will need a citrus summer and winter fertiliser .if this tree is in a pot remove some of the fruit so as not to overload the tree ,remove the top 2-3 inches each year and replace .every third year repot untill it is too big to handel then leave .sponge leaves regularly, water regularly with tepid water and keep out of cold air in winter.spray for aphids if seen regular watering is the key

i have one and it grew loads of lemons to start with...But then it slowed to a standstill. I would recommend regular watering as whilst the instructions say "Not too much water" the minute I leave it more than two days the leaves start dropping. I also spray the leaves with water daily and get my cleaner to wipe them every week. This helps stop leaf drop. I keep mine in my conservatory. Hope this helps

First of all you have to know that lemon trees need a lot of sun and warmth. These conditions are essential if you want to grow lemon trees. You also have to fertilize them every 4-5 weeks between the end of winter and the beginning of autumn. And like every fruit tree they need a lot of water. These are the basic rules if you want quality lemons in your gin and tonic drink.

i suggest you fertilize the lemon tree in the begging of winter if you fertilize it before the winter its gives you a a large number of lemon, in winter you should protect from cold and ice by cover them with poly-thin bag.

Mine appears to have deceased. All the leaves have fallen off. Do you think it would help to cut it right back, and see if it starts to grow again?

Worth a try golden. I mean, the worst that will happen is it doesn't work and then you'll have a dud. Hopefully it will spruce right up for you.
