Default online shopping (thompson and morgam ipswich)

I am new to the site but would just like to say that in December I ordered some sweet potato slips from thompson and morgan of ipswich. they arrived today and I am so dissapointed as what arrived was despatched according to the paperwork on the 14 /04 and its now the 23rd. the slips were in a box that you could pack a fruit bush in so have been rattling around all alone. they are so dehydrated I will be lucky to 2 out of the 10. they cost £15 aswell. An e mail has been sent to complain so for those who maybe interested I will post the replies I recieve. I wonder if anyone else has had a similar experience. To add insult to injury the slips they sent were not even the variety I asked for. If t & m employees read the web sites(I would in their business)this not a very good advert and I have read on other web sites that they do seem to lack something when it comes to customer care. by the way I live less than 30 miles away from their grounds I pity anyone from further afield.

Hi. If they were dispatched could the post or courier have had a delay as so not deliver them as fast as they should. Was not that weekend Easter? They should not have sent them then. Is there a post date on package so may be T and M can investigate the delivery system. Hope they send new plants too you asap. Regards Marmite.

I have always found Thompson and Morgan to be an excellent company. One year my seed order for over £40 did not arrive and Thompson and Morgan sent a replacement order immediately - no quibbles at all.

The same year a small seed order with another seed company did not arrive but this different seed company were not at all helpful and did not want to replace the order.

I guess my postman must have been growing veg that year!!

I got time to phone them and they said we will send out a replacement. still heard nothing back on e mail. when I said about wrong items they said we have that written here. I said my order form says different. they said they will replace so I wait and see. I hope they are better this time round. really you should not have to phone and the girl I spoke to sounded really fed up and I suppose after doing it all day so would I. by the way the phone took 25 mins and I know greensleeves of by heart now.
