Default Chickens in a small garden

I thought you might like to check out my little chicken coop with Doris, Gladys and Florence pecking away at their new piece of grass!

Veggie Gardening For Beginners » Chickens in Your Back Yard – Fresh Eggs!

For the purpose of sharing my experiences on my blog I have developed a small vegetable plot in my back garden - all done in a week and now the planting has come to fruition!

My compost bins now benefit from my three lovely girls - who drop generously their guano over the grass beneath their ark.

I move them weekly and rake the bottom of the previous patch and use it for composting.

Warren hens will usually give you an egg a day..so that is quite a nice little contribution to the kitchen. You could also get some rescue hens if you wish. A nice thing to do.

I look forward to your comments.
