Smile Garden Tools, whats your favourite??

Hi "All"
As the title says, whats your favourite "Gardening Tool"

Mine, is my "Half Moon Edger", obviously for edging the lawns, but i use it for turning the soil in the borders, chopping things back(nettles etc) I would be lost without it

so what are your favourites?????
cheers stupo

Hi Stupo. My favorite tool is my hoe. I have an uncle who is very good at designing and building things and he took an old farm disc blade, divided it into 5ths, and welded on a receiver for a 5'6" handle. The arc of the blade is great for getting into tight places and the hardness of the steal means I'll never wear it out in my lifetime. All I do is keep it clean and run a file over the edge to keep an almost razor sharpness and weeds beware bwahaha. I'm also going to put in a good word for my little hand shovel I use to transplant young plants into the veggie and flower garden.

Hello Stupo. Lilo got married to Sydney when she was on the cruise a few months back. The house she left to her house maid. She is doing bed and board, and included is a grand tour of the local street's that Lilo used to walk. As for Mrs Marmite she allows me to sit and watch, then I instruct her on the art, yes its an art of gardening. The vegies are fantastic and we do a slug hunt together at night then throw then over the fence.I used to put them in their letter box but I think they got the hump. One good thing our other neighbour has started to grow vegies aswell, its catching on. Well its summer solstis night and Mrs Marmite plans to run naked around the Rowen tree, it keeps the cats away thats what Lilo said on the phone the other day.Look after yourself. Regards from Marmite.

Hiya Stupo...

...and Marmite - It's been a while. Hope you are both well & your familys too!

My fave gardening 'tool' is my greenhouse - okay I know it's not an actual tool in the proper sense of the word but I would definitely be lost without it.

I suppose my other favourite tools are my garden fork (so many uses) and my rake (had it years but wouldn't part with it). And how much better my borders look when I have finished using these two items.

I have got quite a few pink items now, the 2 you mention plus a spade, trowel, a pink bucket (£3 bargain at asda) for all my seeds.

It's surprising how much pink stuff there is out but I'm guessing it's something you haven't looked for before as it's probably not your colour but then again I could be wrong

Marmite - My greenhouse has comfy stool & wind-up radio (the comfy chair is in the shed ). Don't like tea, but have been known to take a flask of coffee down the garden with me. As for a phone line for ordering anything....I wouldn't dare order Mrs Spud to do anything (Think of the consequences ).

Stupo - No cards yet?....my, you have been good. Let's see what we can do to change that, eh . (As if we would he, he )

Lisa4star - Does a Pink Gin count ?

Lesley - I am being good, honest .... it's all these others leading me astray

'See' you all later
