Who's your favorite?

Tonight on American Public Television,on masterpiece theater, we will be treated to Agatha Cristie's "Murder on the Orient Express" staring one of my favorite actors, David Suchet. That started me wondering who are some of your favorite U.K. actors. I could easily list more than a dozen other British actors but I'm just curious who you like. I know this has absolutly nothing to do with gardening but like I said I'm just curious.

Hi Husker, I really do enjoy watching detective / murder mysteries especially John Thaw as Inspector Morse, David Suchet as Poirot, Sir David Jason as Inspector Frost and John Nettles as Inspector Barnaby.

I know you say what is our fav UK actors but none really pops in to my kind. This won't please many but my two fav actors are American;

Morgan Freeman and Samuel L Jackson. Love them both, legends.

Pete Postlethwaite; Paddy Considine; Toby Kebbell - if you like dark movies check out "Dead Man's Shoes", got both Paddy and Toby in this, and I actually thought Toby was mentally impaired - he's not, just a bloomin good actor. Be warned it is a very dark movie tho.

Oh and I adore Clive Owen, he's been a bit unpredictable over the years, but anything with him in it is usually a good watch I think.

Julie Walters, her range is amazing, and I find her believeable in every role she's played, I watch the character, not Julie Walters.

I think the adult cast of the Harry Potter films have some of the best british actors of all time....Alan Rickman, Maggie Smith, John Clease. Even thought the story is centred around the children, the adults really bring the films to life.

I also really like Robert Carlisle, Sean Pegg and the late Dermot Morgan.
