Evening all. What a miserable few days of weather eh! Jeez, nearly tried out me Kayak out down the street yesterday. Just started raining here now and no doubt that'll be it until tomorrow evening,oh joy.
So im sat here now listening to the extremely cute Enrique on my headphones before settling down for an evening of telly with hubby and no doubt the kids finding something to argue about.

What's everyone else upto this fine glorious weekend?

Hi all. Well my weekend starts on Fri. and I did a trip to the Home Depot to pick up some paint, lumber, and supplies for some home fix-it projects and some of my hobby projects. Yesterday I spent the better part of the day emtying out my late Dad's tool/work shed, and then putting the things back in that I didn't throw out. It's nice and cozy now so I'll have a place to do some little project. I think Dad would approve. About sundown I picked 1 2/3 5 gal. buckets of peppers and a few toms as we were suppose to get our first frost last night. I covered what I could so we'll see what today brings. I'll probably have to cover tonight too but then things are suppose to warm up for a little while. Today I'm going to veg out, watch some Ryder cup, football (american style) and the car race.

Sounds like an exhausting weekend Husker. Id love to have a workshop for my woodwork hobby but we only have a small shed at present which is taken up with the kids bikes and mainly hubby's antenna/masts etc. Maybe next year. The weather has ruined any chance of me doing my fave 2 hobbies, gardening and woodwork but still, managed to get some lovely baking done, chocolate brownies, rockcakes and vienese whirls, all with the help of my son and daughter.

The weather is meant to turn cooler for us over here 3rd week of October with overnight frosts creeping in but the days should hopefully be sunnier and warmer than of late. Roll on winter,my favourite season. I adore snow and frosts and cold weather but then after that, the fun really begins in the garden!
