Hi All,
I do a find the odd puzzle that can do the head in Quite satisfying in a strange kind of way

Perhaps you remember 1, if so post them here, to challenge the forum members, i will start the ball rolling with the puzzle below;


Your goal is to share between 100 people, the sum of 100 pounds

Men will be valued at £10
Women,,,,, at 50p
& children at 12.5p

So how many, men = , women = & children = Remembering, 100 people,, and 100 pounds,

But I'm stuck:

If x = number of men, y = number of women and z = number of children then
x + y + z = 100 and
10x + 0.5y + 0.125z = 100

but then what?

This has got to be wrong, but I would give 99 children 12.5p each and keep the remainder for myself.

If you have 10x you will already have your £100 10 men @ £10
But only 10 bodies (90) missing

Its quite a tough 1, and only 1 solution

If nobody gets it tonight, i will post the answer in the early hours

Am I included in the 100 people or am number 101 or 99.

But I degress, I do have 5 degrees, had more but protractor broke.

Hi All,
Not so many people, good with the old Maths then

Still going to give you a little longer Surely someone can get the solution

Has anyone else not got any "Puzzles" to share?????

Hi "All"

"Very" suprised That none of you could come up with the solution

We have people who can escape charges of "Nude Slug Hunting" with whats classed as a lethal weapon

Someone from "Over the pond", that wanted to come here Until he read about the above And changed his mind quickly

Someone else that comes from,,,errrr, whats it called
Who thinks that x + y (when compatable) = Z Which is of course correct, in a certain context

Then of course, we have my "Mate" Marmite, who came up with a "Grand Idea/Solution" and to be honest got the closest of you all.

He reckons, that when he last went to "Lilo Lil's", He saw 7 Men that all paid her a "Tenner" (£10) = £70, also he saw 49 women, that had paid .50p to watch = (£24.50) The 44 children that were conceived during the above "Process" were charged 12.5p for services rendered by the midwife who was rushed off her feet

So there we have it X=7 @ £10,=£70 Y=49 @.50p = £24.50 and finally Z = 44 @ 12.5p = £5.50 100 people + £100

I hope a few will try the next 1 i put up

Hi Stupo. I saw Lilo on skype this morning she is still with Sidney in Sydney and she has seen the equation, and said you sold her short. As for watching she has a web cam installed if you need it. She is intrested in Lesley's slug hunting in the nude thing and can set up a pay per view, make a few bob I expect.
As for maths all I know is : If I have 3 apples and Johny takes 1 what am I left with. I answered 3 apples as I hit Johny and took the apple back.. Enjoy the weekend everyone.Regards Marmite and S.S.S.S. not forgetting Lilo.

Answer 43, all the other numbers are "square numbers" plus 1
