Default What Music?

Hi All,
Ok, so, What do we all listen to??????

We are "All" of differing ages, so the question, is asked, with hopes of some "Very Interesting" results, from the normal from my mates.

This is the best band, no its not, this is

Only the other day, did i have the same old arguement, who is the best "Guitar Player" you have known in your lifetime....

Maybe, its your favourite band/group, or even, your fav drummer, singer etc

So, come on, who & why, should your vote go to,,,,

Tubular Bells by Mike Oldfield. Shaft by Isaac Hayes. Barry Whites Greatest hits. All of Abba I liked the blonde one. The Who various, drums by Keith Moon. The Doves. The Killers. Judie Tzuke Welcome to the cruise. Status Quo all albums, 3 notes and you got a hit. Joe Cocker, unchain my heart.
Best drums I heard was Ginger Baker, two drum sets together 14 min drum solo. I like most music old and new.Marmite. Old but not stuck in the past.

Well Stupo, now you have me thinking.... Best Singer I,ve ever seen is an easy one ..Annie Lennox, Best Drummer Mike Shrieve of Santana when stoned on Mescalin at Woodstock 1969 (him stoned .. not me .. hee hee!) Best guitar player is more difficult ... Jimmy Page of Zeppelin was off his face at Live Aid 1985 or was it 86, but he never missed a note even though he dropped his Plectrum twice, still i,d go for Stevie Ray Vaughan, ( Duan Allman runs close)and best Band I,ve ever seen Lynrd Skynrd at The Rainbow, Finsbury Park, 1976/7 not long before three of them were killed in Plane Crash, ironically Stevie Ray Vaughan was killed in a Helicopter Crashn near Chicago in 1990.
See ; TOP 100 GUITAR PLAYERS OF ALL TIME
I,d talk for hours on this topic, good post,
Regards Hammer,
West Ham till I die.

Hi Both,
some nice choices there, a couple of people i think can play a "Guitar"

Eric Clapton - Tearing us apart [Live from Tokyo 1988]

Nils Lofgren - Moontears -October 1979

And, for whom many were inspired by

BUDDY GUY LIVE!! - 2009 - 'Best Damn Fool'

As for a decent drummer

YYZ - Rush ( Neil Peart Drum Solo )

Everyone, to ones own

cheers stupo.

Thanks Stupo, My Favorite is Free Bird 1976, to think that the main Lead Guitar Player that day survived the plane crash that killed 3 of the band including the lead singer, only to get a wasting disease which affected his hand first ! he is confined to a wheelchair, the one you referred to me features the Dead lead singers younger brother.
Thank again, Hammer

Smile Another good Tale

Hi "All"
Just another quick 1

I was met by an "Object" of today, some time past, (in a big long leather coat, with more "Make Up" And Pierced Flesh,Than, A "Bad Impression" of "Jordan" ) that thought they were a "Goth"

What is this all about?????
My Reply to this person was to look at the said link, Probably before he was even born??

YouTube - The Sisters of Mercy -- Lucretia, My Reflection

Yet Another "Classic"

However, only to us of the same era???

Everyone, too "ONES" own,,,, cheers stupo
