The holiday thread I just contributed to inspired me to write this...
I have been trying to book a holiday recently and due to the fact we are on quite a budget we've been resorting to looking on Teletext and (to an extent) IceLolly.
Despite having called, ready to book at least three holidays, none of them have materialised!!! Either they can't find the holiday at all and claim it has sold out (despite me being 100% aware that the holiday was added to the site between 10pm on a saturday night and 9am on the sunday morning - considering the call centre was closed for most of that time, I have serious trouble believing it also sold out in that time).
Or they try and tell me that the stated apartment is not actually available at the price it says it is, it will only be an extra £50 each for the apartment. When I say I'll have the cheaper accomodation then, guess what, that's sold out too!!!
Apologies for the rant, but I'm sure I'm far from the only person to get so aggravated with this ridiculous system???
Why can't they just list real holidays and real prices instead of ******* people off with fake listings - they only create a false idea of the economy and make people reluctant to fork out the real price of holidays
