Default GH Soil

I am lucky enough to have two GH`s, one large one small. I have planted toms in both beds in the big one and on one side in the small one. We like toms!
I know that toms are greedy and so that i can re use the soil next year for toms how should i improve the soil?
Unfortunately in the big GH i managed to get some Botyritis. Since discovering this i have vented the greenhouse constantly and managed to stave off loosing the whole crop. I realise that this nasty disease will live on anything decaying in the soil, so was thinking of removing some of the soil, not sure to what depth, cleaning the GH and then adding, my garden compost? or my garden compost mixed with horse manure? or?
Is it worth growing some beans in both GH`s to improve the soil over the winter?

That leads me onto another question! Cleaning! I have read that a lot of people reccomend jays fluid, I dont think i will be able to get that over here, at least i have never seen it! I use cleaning vinegar in the house, is this strong enough or should i use bleech?

Many thanks in advance,
Sandra

DO NOT USE BLEACH THIS WILL KILL THE SOIL
any antimould on the outside of the greenhouse is ok patio cleaner etc

to improve gsoil there are fumigators that can be used in the soil watered on and then covered in polythene
i would be inclined to dig over the soil and create new raised beds and grow in open bottom pots on this soil
if you can find old gardening books they often give sterilization recipes failing that jump in car drive to dover stock up on jeys fluid and make a fortune selling it to your friends

Many thanks for the warning Malcolm. I will ask the next visitor to bring Jeyes fluid! And lots of it!
So the affected GH should be well weeded and beds raised with new compost and next season planted in open bottom pots. And the small GH will be fine with just some extra compost dug in.

Fingers crossed for next year!

Many thanks again,

Sandra

Sandra Armillatox is also used for sterlising soil and cleaning the greenhouse. Maybe they sell it in The Netherlands.
