recommend a mini-greenhouse?

Hi all,

we had our first go at growing our own veg last summer with, for the most part, great success. This year I would like to get an early start but we don't have room for a full-on greenhouse and wondered if anyone had any advice on something smaller/portable that could be either taken down or moved in summer. Something that doesn't use glass would be good as we have 3 kids under 5.

Hello juliank. Welcome to the forum. My wife purchased a plastic green house from a garden centre. The cheaper ones the plastic cover is thiner. We went and paid a few pounds more for a Hall's product thicker cover,and firm fitted more snugly a far better product it's now 4 years old and stays up all year round. It has paid for its self many times over. We over winter plants in it,and then seed trays of flowers and veg. The only problem no heating, and you manually vent as condensation seems a problem somtimes. A high street catalog company has some in the spring book just now but you can get better. Regards Marmite.
