Default Recharging Autovents

Hi all,

I have 4 automatic roof vents that require repairing, i.e. the "Wax Filled" tube will not operate.

Have any of you suffered the same problem? These are only 2 years old and at a cost of £20 each becoming rather expensive to keep having to replace them.

I have spoken with the local garden centre people, but they shrug their shoulders and offer a complete replacement! yes at £20.

Regards

Drew

Hi Drew, there was a similar thread a while ago but that was a case of 'What is this' identification. Anyway according to the posts you can replace the wax in the cylinders.

Here's the thread:-

Hi all,

I have found that it is impossible to replace the wax in the cylinder of these Automatic Vents, however the cylinders can be replaced at a cost of £15.95 + postage and packing.

I think the answer is to hunt around for a cheap alternative???

Regards

Drew
