I've got a few meters of 20mm water pipe and was thinking the best way to rig it up to my butt
and being able to open a ball valve to water my greenhouseThe pipework will be in a U shape with the feed in the centre, i've also seen gardena spray heads that I think will screw into the pipe, I think i'll need 6 spray heads to cover the bed, but have been wondering if there will be enough pressure from the butt? Just wondering if anyones done anything simular? Matt |

I have two water butts connected by a siphon and then another siphon/gravity feed tube into the greenhouse. The water feeds to grow bags via plastic dripper valves. I find that this arrangement will automatically water my toms for up to 5 days.
There is further information on my website under "greenhouse watering"

Liking the way your using 2 water butts, seems like your using the first as a settlement pit and syphoning off the top for clean water into the second. Definatly going to try now Thank You |

My greenhouse is about 100ft from the house so was thinking of ways without electrickery or mains water, The hose does reach but seems a bit harsh when pointing at the soil, I nearly bought a adjustable lance for it today but for the price I was thinking of a diy watering system Thanks for the reply Matt |
