Default Advice please

I have recently started my own green house a mini four tier one and put my seedlings in there. They were all thriving in my kitchen/dinner but within two days of putting my cucumber plant (very small from seeds) into the green house it withered and died . What have i done wrong and how can i keep the rest of my plants from dying in my greenhouse???

Basically, it`s gone from a warm kitchen to a cold greenhouse, and it couldn`t take the temperature change. Try sowing and growing a plant in the greenhouse.

Hello garden_fairies. I have the same green house as you and I find it gets to hot during the day if sunny. I always unzip and roll up front. At night I zip it up. Your plants witherd due to heat/cold. I have added exter bubble wrap under plants and even put pots in polastryen box in green house to over winter and some died about 40% it's unheated all winter, but the green house will pay for its self in a year with veg and flower grown from seed. Welcome to the forum and gardening. Regards Marmite

I'm about to put plants that i've grown in the kitchen out into the greenhouse (when it's finally put together!!) - do you think it is worth putting them outside for a few hours each day for a few days before finally putting them in the greenhouse??

Default Harden off

I put my plants out most days so I can inspect them and give them a good watering. I try to put them where they get some sun but not enough to wilt them. Them after tea I replace the in to green house, after looking for slugs and snails. Get a cheap thometer for green house, you will be amazed how hot it gets with door open and a suna when door closed. You can bring them back in doors or put some in green house to see how they do. Have a good weekend. Marmite
