I am just about to purchase a 10ft x 8ft aluminium greenhouse and would like
some imformation regarding holding down to the ground. I would hate to wake up one morning and see it in a heap in the next door neibours garden, the piece of ground to site it is at present just lawn, would I have lay a concrete plinth for it to stand on, any help or information would be gratefullyappreciated. Hi Oldie,
You could get yourslef 4 or 6 railway type sleepers, lay them out to fit your frame size (layed on face or side,to give raised bed effect) and secure frame of greenhouse to this base. Your frame is off the ground, (no decay) and you have that little extra height. If "treated" properly, this will be a good alternative to brick or slab base, and can be moved alot easier in case of future devolopments in your garden. Hope this helps , cheers paul (stupo740 |
