Default Pepper people?

iv got 4 peppers plants, all well over half a metre, in deep wide containers, the plants themselves are all healthy , lush green leaves and sturdy stems
unfortunately whilst away my friend watered the pepper plants too much and the soils become boggy!!!! which i know pep's detest!!, iv brought the container into the warmest room in my house and luckily the room has a large extended windoceil, so they're up on there at the moment, .................... will the soil dry out and if so do i stand a chance of them flowering - fruiting?

any help
much appreciated folks

Good thought. I was going to say, that I would transplant them. How did they manage?
