Default Standard Grow Bag v Giant Grow Bag

Anyone know of any trials or had experience to substantiate the claim that Giant Grow Bags give a better yield?

I am wondering if they are worth the additional cost?

They are definitely worth the extra cost. Plants root better therefore growing and cropping better.

When Westlands first brought this type of bag out, I was plant manager of a garden centre. I scrounged a few of these bags from the supplier and set up a season long trial. I had superb results. The trial was carried out at the centre, for the benefit of our customers.

Thats very useful info thanks Dave. Can I ask you where you slit bags for drainage? In past years I have slit them halfway up which meant water was always present in the bottom. I have auto watering and I am proposing to slit them as low as possible at the two ends this year.

David, did you use standard grow bags in the trial for comparison?
