Default Advice on first tunnel

Earth Mother and I are thinking of jumping in and buying a poly tunnel but need some advice on choice. We have looked on ebay and found what is described as 4.5mx2m large greenhouse poly tunnel(not sure how to post a link to it) at less than £70. The same shop also has a 6x3m for £150 both look good to our untrained eyes. Contrasting with this there are suppliers such as first tunnels at a much higher price, offering what to us looks to be an equally suitable product.

I can see some obvious differences such as thicker poles and a hinged door as standard. However we really need some advice as why one would be better than the other for reasons other than price.

We look forward to reading your replies and suggestions, regards David and the Earth Mother.

Unhappy Reply

Hi All,
I Agree with Aircon, I bought 1 of those "Cheaper" alternatives off Flea bay.
Was quite impressed when it arrived and it was erected, looked great, done the job, (Last Year).
However, when dismantling for "Winter" storage, most of the joints of the frame, were in need of re-welding, and the cover (green ribbed poly) was coming apart at the seams.

It looks like two of us have been stung, but i am sure there are people who have been totally satisfied??????? but i don't think many.

Good Luck with your search, cheers stupo
