Hi ,

Just got myself a small 6x4 Norfolk Greenhouse and was wondering if anyone here has got one and if you have any tips on erecting it , particularly the sliding doors.

Colin.

defiantly takes 2 people the frame is wobbly until bolted together also i did mine on a 9" high breeze block wall to give more height.
The door has a big gap at the top when shut i used a rubber mat cut up to block this to keep heat in in winter.
I was a bit disappointed it did not have a roof window, only the one at the back so built two in myself but mine is twice as long as yours, which is 2 bolted together.

Hi Lazydog, thanks.
How did yo go on with the back sliding window ? I can not make sense with the instructions for this bit, dose your greenhouse cope OK with the weather we get.

Sorry for the delay in posting,as for the back window it just slides between the frame very basic but works if you get the tension (nuts and bolts tight enough but not to tight) this is on my todo list as after 12 months use cant see it last all this summer without breaking.
As for coping with the weather 12" of snow on top no problems as with strong winds the only thing i did was wrap the inside in bubble wrap but still lost a few fuchsia's due to frost but they wernt the hardy type so half expected some losses.
Over all very pleased for the price could do with one 10x bigger but couldn't we all!!

lazydog, thanks very much for the info on the back window , was wondering how that worked ? thanks.
Yes , we could always do with one much bigger and i know mine will be way two small but this size is all i have room for so it is better than nothing...........I keep telling myself..

solar roof vent No ! I did not get one , i take it was an optional extra. The greenhouse is finished and up and running, it is OK for what it is but already not big enough lol but will have to do as for space restrictions. The solar roof vent sounds like a good idea but if not working so good then i will leave that alone i think.
