Default Temperature & Shading

Bought my first green house ... finished putting it up last week ..
http://tinyurl.com/6gntx5r

Now has 5 varieties of tomatoes, cucumber, chilli's, Aubergines & peppers underway.

I have fitted 2 x auto window openers, which my wife thinks are amazing things.
These start opening at around 26 degrees, fully open at 32 degrees, they are adjustable so is this about right ?

I also have a louvre vent .. which I open late morning (that 'may' get an auto openers as well in future)

Question now on shading ..

Understand that as well as temp I need to provide shading ... is that o roof on South facing side ? ... or horizontal elevation as well ? ... or perhaps just the horizontal?

Greenhouse gets full sun on roof dawn to mid morning, and the horizontal mid morning till dusk.

What is most practical option (not wishing to cover glass with liquid or similar)
Do I 'peg' to it some green mesh ?

Open to suggestions form those that know.

Ok no responses so far ....
If I buy material, to apply on the 'inside' with clips into the frame.

Plenty of people selling green shading mesh, but also seen a white material:
green house shading 15m x 2.1m | eBay UK

Anybody used it ?
Welcome advice.

I was hoping for a response to this question!
Most shading I have looked at is just on the apex roof or can be hung inside
Greenhouses from Greenhouses Direct
the above link, though not cheap shows both options.
A friend uses old net curtains hung inside to shade just the south facing side.
As a newbie greenhouse owner I'm going to try good old fashioned windowleen (sp!) as a cheap option - also as I'm not that tall and don't fancy trying to hang nets to the roof, I would need to use a ladder...

Hi,

Bit of a late reply but only just joined the forum.

I've only got a small potting house with no vents at all, although it is sat on decking so it gets some ventillation from the bottom.

I suffered badly from overheating with direct sun through the clear plastic and decided to fit the green meshing on the inside to track the path of the sun. Although the meshing is abit pricey, it is the best thing I've done to the potting house so far....what a difference it makes to reducing the temperature to maintain a reasonable level.

My dad has a large greenhouse and painted his glass white which he's had for many years now and he has the best green fingers I know ever!
