Default gutted little girl

I got one of the plastic walk-in greenhouses from a guy at work and my little girl was over the moon, we have been in it for hours traying up seeds, planting up growbags and potting on she absolutly loves it

The wind was really strong friday, saturday morning we went out to do the watering and opened it up to find all her seed trays upside down on the floor, her potted on toms demolished and few pots smashed - she burst out into tears instantly.

Im so annoyed its happened, id weighed it down as much as i could, i used 4 grow bags along the base and used some string supports from the room with brick on the floor but its the wind hitting the side and basicly sending it all sideways

i dont know what else i can do,

Iv looked on ebay for greenhouses and all pretty expensive for condition that are local, i saw a couple in argos for £189 but dont know if there any good

Hi Dannyj, I've bought one of the greenhouses in b%q for a similar price and I've had no problems with it, will have it 3 years in June, it's polycarbonate. One piece of advice is to bolt or screw it down, mine is on a concrete base. Hope this helps.

well today i emptied and rescued what i could, with nothing in the greenhouse but me it decided to take off like a giant kite with me in it -

so iv got some batton on the inside and screwed it to the fence on the eastside so im going to loose the first sun but will be on it all the rest of the day but it is solid

now my only trouble is to stop the bottoms from blowing out - another thing to drive me mad !! im thinking again use batton on the inside and screw the plastic sheeting to that using cup rings aswell

i came up with a great idea to stop seed trays going all over the show - iv used propogator trays and zip-tied them to all the staging - then the 3inch pots, plugs are all in those - result

Im sorry to hear your little one was upset! Its hard to make good suggestions without seeing in person but would tent pegs help? I pegged the edges down into the ground and then as you say, weighed it down with growbags. Im not sure how many openings or vents you have but if you know the strong winds are coming, it may help to actually open them all and the door. This will stop the wind catching it like a kite!
