Default Shade in the sunshine

Over the winter my OH put up some extra "insulation" in m greenhouse ie. the outer plastic of one of those little plastic greenhouses. Over winter it was fine. It is now actually acting as a shade to the wonderful sunshine we are now getting. As temperatures rise, should I take this down or keep it up?
If the answer is the first one, Ive got to convince OH to take it down!
