Default Wilting herbs??

I got some herb seeds 4 weeks ago and decided to plant them, my first time growing anything! Anyway, they started doing ok for the first 3 weeks but in the 4th week theyv started flopping over and look really weak. I water them everyday so the soil doesn't dry up and also make sure they're not water logged. And I put them on the windowsil so they get enough light. I'm just wondering why they've grown like they have and if I should bin them or not. The basil seems ok tho!

Coriander:

Parsley:

Basil:

Thanks for your help

they have struggled for light and have got too leggy and weak to hold themselves up they need potting up into full size deep 9cm pots and gently get as much stalk as you can in if your very gentle you can curl the stalk over so you get them deep enough without breaking them you need to get them planted to just below the leaves

Argh! So they need more light ;O I thought they were getting enough on the windowsill maybe I'll try putting them outside in the garden after repotting. I did repot a few although I've heard corriander doesn't like being disturbed :S How many do you reccomend in a 6" pot? Just one or a few?

Thanks so much for your help

Hi

It's very likely damping off and is a fungal problem.

There was another thread on this in the forum and I wrote a page on my website for it - link below.

Damping Off

Regards

Liz
