I planted an assortment of herbs seeds some time ago, and I was transplanting them in the greenhouse yesterday afternoon and when I had finsihed that, I had a few old hanging baskets, with dead annuals in from last summer, so I decided to recycle the old compost, so after snipping off the dead flowers and leaves, shook out the old compost into a bucket, did the same with the second one, and I happen to notice many tiny white grubs, in the compost, they were quite small with what appeared like little legs on the side. So I scattered the compost on the garden path and in case I needed to save these little lives, I thought I would go on the computer to investigate what they were, and when I went back outside, Mr/Mrs Robin had clear intentions of what she had to do with them, and they were all gone. They were neither vine weevil not wood lice grubs, and I really don't know what they were. Anyone got any ideas? or am I the killer of friends rather than foes. Ooops..........
