Student in need of advice!

I am currently a student studying product design

in need of consumer feedback i would be extremely greatful to hear your thoughts and opinions regarding my product.

It's purpose is to grow herbs in the kitchen and can be raised and lowered with water stored in the lower section of the product. it also includes a hydroponic light which is housed in a mahogany lid.

The more feedback and opinions the better! so please get posting!

Hello Jimmy. Welcome to the forum. The first thought at looking at your future product is why?. Most herbs are grown in a pot on a window sill and does not need hydroponic light. Also how big will it be?. Is the container lowered in to the water automatically or manually. Also what market do you intend to sell it to. Is it battery or main electrics think of spillage when filling as 240 volts and water do not mix. Sorry to sound negative but when you come to test ,sell ,manufacture ,the lecture/education board will throw all sorts of downers at you, so get all areas covered. I wrote a 20,000 word paper on why a brick cant float. But it can if you build a boat from bricks as its water displacement. It took a lot of working out in the pub with my friends and then trying to get it built. Marmite (wishing I was back at uni with the knowlage he has now, ohhh what fun I would have)
