Smile Nik's herb bed

hiya guys & gals

well i thought as im a long standing member of this forum now (4 days) lol,i better post a picture of my herb garden it looks fairly baron at the moment as its fairly new and i only sowed seeds about 10 days ago, although there is new shoots coming through yipppeeee

anyway iv planted some coriander, basil lambs lettuce, carrots of the round variety plus there is an established strawberry bush in there that i had to move as birds were eating the strawberrys,i was a litle worried that i had moved it when in flower ,but the plants is producing nice strawberrys although a little small

i now want to turn half of my lawn into vegetable patches and to my surprise my better half is well up for idea even though she isnt a gardener....(cant be bad)....but im just not sure how im gonna get rid of some of the soil/clay and replace it with good quality compost....i have just recently bought a compost bin but im some time of producing any compost.....any ideas ?

iv posted an early stage picture of my herb garden and another of the bottom end of my garden that i want turning into a decent sized veg plot

take care

Nik.
