I have grown corriander several times and it always goes to seed no matter what variety, which is fine as then you can replant it. Now i plant more than I need, cut what I want to use and if the rest goes to seed so be it. Sow successionaly also this will mean that you have a more constant supply and it won't all be ready to harvest at once.

I never realised I bought seeds that were for coriander seed production rather than for the leaves, probably just me (I assume you all know a lot more than me about this), but maybe worthwhile to check before buying. when I then sew the right seeds I had no problems.
Ps littlewing: The seeds appeared with me in 3 weeks after it bolting (that was in end of June) but I let them dry for a bit until they are brown (beginning of August). Air-dry them (I did it in envelops hung in a sunny windowsill) and then store in a dry and cool place (I just left them in the envelop for this). Then use them for sowing the spring after. I actually think that next year I will grow both the ones for leaves and the ones for seeds as I love using them for cooking! So was not all bad my silly mistake ![]() |
