Default herbs with roses?

I'm planting a new bed this spring, it will have 3 shrub roses and a climber on a fence. I'm thinking of planting some herbs in the bed for a cottage garden look. Any suggestions?

Hi, vinodkumar,

I am no expert but my Roses are all planted with lavender and chives, peppermint and silver thyme. Mainly to help with the greenfly . It does look fab though. Oh and I have planted my onions in amoungst it too!

Good luck,
Sandra
