Default Basil & Parsley

This is my Basil and Parsley, from seed.

I expect, or at least I hope, they will out grow this container, but it was so cute looking I had to get it!

Great picture. i think you'll find that the plants will easily outgrow the container, and you'll need a few more containers. I planted my parsley in a barrel and they are very happy.

I have attempted basil from seed on numerous occasions but to no avail until this year that is.

I found that to get a good crop sow have a packet and put a small bag over the top (I use a freezer bag) and bring it on in the greenhouse. You should start to see it coming through in less than a week.

Well I bought a packet of seeds, I think they were Duchy's Organic ones. I sowed the whole packet. they did very well, I was told they need quite alot of water... however, since moving them into that little wooden container both the parsley and basil has died! Oh no!

I thought i had killed my Basil and Parsley completely, but they are slowly coming back to life! The basil is doing better.

Anyone know what I should do to help them along? It seemed they didn't like being moved pots.
