Default Pukka Parsley

I haven't uploaded a picture as yet, but I planted a small weedy flat-leaf parsley pot from a well-known supermarket in my border last summer and it survived the winter better than everything else and now has a formidable height and girth compared to the usual offerings.

My question is has anyone else here noticed a good recovery from a seemingly dead plant, and how did it survive so well during those cold, cold months?

Thanks.

I did that once - planted a parsley (that wasn't very healthy) from the supermarket and it grew lovely parsley for me.
