Default getting confused

i have a little question for you and i know the answers going to be down to each persons preference but here goes,

i have a plot about 25 ft by 25ft i want to grow (and have seeds / seedlings grown from seeds) cabbage, cauliflour, brocolli, brussel sprouts, carrots runner beans, parsnips, lettuce, peas and potatoes (i have 15 of each desire, maris piper and king edward) think thats it.
any ideas if i will get all this into my plot? i have been working on the idea of 3rows of potatoes (15 per row) any one got any advice on if i should be putting more potatoes in? or general advice please, this is my first attempt at actually growing veg in the ground i have in the past done it in tyres with different success rates

thanks Tony

Hi

I'm new to computers and not sure how people high light stuff in there reply

I also want to know the spacing of veg growing as i fell i leave alot of space in between rows.

My o/h plants spuds 9 inch apart each spud up the row and between rows foot to foot and a half, i think you have to leave more space if they are main crop.

I'v grown cabbages before and they have done well, they need abit of space about 10inch apart but from my experience as soon as you plant them cover them with fine netting to stop cabbage white Caterpillar

Runner beans I leave 6 inch between each plant up the row and about a foot between each row. I'v never grown brassicas so cant help you there.

I made a mistake on lettuce growing last year sowed 15 lettuces and all of them matured at the same time, so now going to grow cut and cut again lettuce.

I have grown carrots before and i find they don't take up much room but its good to thin them out & get stones out of soil.

Hope this may have helped.

I'm sure someone later will be along to give you more advice.

Chili, brassicas are the likes of cabbage, caulis and sprouts. Tony you`ll get that lot in with room to spare.

Hi Tony, have you sown the peas direct outside?

Hi, no i have been putting them into individual sectional pots, have tried them on the window sill, in the green house but each time they have rotted out, thought perhaps it was a bad batch of seeds?

Hi Tony, you could try soaking the peas in water for 24 hours before sowing which is supposed to encourage germination or soak the peas then put between sheets of damp kitchen towel (keep it damp) for a few days or so to see if they sprout. That way you would know if the seeds are okay.
