.....when you know your papery dry hands will be worth it when you're eating salads you've grown entirely yourself (just have to keep cringing when I touch anything soft like bedding or jumpers)

....when you don't get cross with your 3 year old for smashing a terracotta pot, but do yell at your partner not to throw it out, 'cos you can smash it up and use it for drainage.
