help with my toms

Hello all,

i got a problem with my toms they seem to be collapsing in on them selves and the stalks are all bending over whats up with them? have i not tied them up good enough?

Hi Shaun. Do you have alot of toms on the plant? If so, you may want more support, but be carful so you don't break the plant. If you can, a picture would help.

Agree with Husker

We've had to use so many canes to tie the plants up it looks like we are growing bamboo in the greenhouse!

Tomato plants seem quite a pathetic plant to me, they produce a yield that they are incapable of supporting themselves

Maybe if grown outside the wind blowing against the plant all the time strengthens the stalks?? but certainly in a greenhouse you need to keep adding support as the fruit gets bigger
