Default Bargain!!!

Not sure if this post is in the right section but I wandered into Poundland today and they are selling seed potatoes and onions for £1-00 a bag. It seemed rude not to buy some. Who knows they might be delicious!!!

I agree - they do really well - so they must be a bargain!

well I went to the 99p store and the poundland in Barnsley yesterday..... and was amazed! I got a spring onion growing kit, a radish growing kit, and a mange tout growing kit (kits contain seeds, soil and a decent sized propagator with lid) and white onion set in the 99p store. Then I got Maris Peers and javelin seed potatoes (6 of each) in poundland, they had alsorts, feed pellets, fertilizers, tonnes of packets of seeds, loads of different growing kits such as peppers, strawberries, leeks, tomotoes, cucumbers, courgettes, loads of varieties of beans/peas and herbs etc. I could've gone mad, but I was restrained incase they are a bit rubbish. We'll have to start a "how did our bargains go" thread when the season gets underway!

all these seeds kits do not allow you to examine the use and packed dates some seeds will not germinate well unless they are fresh ie parsnips so beware of dates and origins cold stores are needed to hold seed before it is packed
